Ready For Some Festival Makeup 101?

by Monique Millet July 02, 2014

Let’s face it, fashion is just as important as the music at any festival. Aside from the lineup of artists, we place a lot of the attention on the fashion, or maybe that’s just me. Either way festival style has become the talk of the web. So let’s get right to it. There’s more to a festival get-up than neon tutus and floral headbands. You’ve got boots, bags and shoes, skirts, your hair and then there’s your makeup.

It’s a battle keeping a fresh face in the blistering heat, you don’t have many resources to touch up, unless you’re trying to use a porta-potty, but I don’t think there’s anyone willing to go to such drastic measures. Be prepared to weather a weekend without proper restrooms.

So without further ado, I give you… your basic packing list for festival makeup essentials, and trust me… you’ll thank me later…

1. BB cream with SPF

Suggestion: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35

2. Primer

  • Spray on top of your makeup to boost its longevity and throw it in your bag for touch-ups later on.

Suggestion: Makeup Forever Mist and Fix

3. Eyeliner

  • Twist up with a spongy tip for blending so there’s no need to sharpen them (especially if you go through a lot of eyeliner)

Suggestion: CoverGirl Queen Collection Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner Black

Unknown-1

4. Waterproof Mascara

Suggestion: L’Oreal double extend waterproof lash fortifier and extender mascara

Unknown-2

5. Lip and Cheek stain (Dual Combo)

  • Cheek stain that works on your lips as well

Suggestion: Benefit BENE-TINT rose-tinted lip & cheek stain

You’re welcome.
