This year’s Amsterdam Dance Event festival has invited 14-year-old DJ Diego to come and host a set. ADE fest will effectively shut down the city of Amsterdam from October 14-18 when electronic acts from all over the world will play to upwards of 80 different venues. Because the festival has been known to attract well over 300,000 visitors over the course of the five days, Diego’s sound will have a platform to impact taste-makers from all over the world.
Younger DJs often find themselves at the forefront of emerging styles in EDM. Internationally renowned Madeon started producing house music at age 15 and was catapulted to the world stage when his live mashup “Pop Culture” was uploaded to Youtube a couple of years later. Diego listeners might hear influences of Martin Garrix and Hardwell in his music, and we’ll be watching to see how he develops his own unique sound.
