Premiered at ADE, Martin Garrix’s “Poison” is quintessential main stage EDM as only the young producer could provide. While others in the space use hard kicks and all-too-familiar drops, Garrix continues to crank out festival sized tracks without the associated banality. From his work alongside Usher, to his recent Matisse & Sadko collaborations, the Dutch talent has showcased a wide berth of genre appreciation. “Poison” arrives on the melodic side of the spectrum, with chirping vocal stutters and heavily filtered saws, firmly planting itself another progressive festival banger from one of the genre’s future icons.
